Founded in 2011 by Shikha Grover Goel and Vinita Adhikari, ILK debuted at Lakmé Fashion Week India, and soon earned acclaim with recognitions from ELLE, and the Grazia Young Fashion Awards.
Growing up in Nainital, Vinita was surrounded by shifting light, natural textures, and the slow rhythm of mountain life, which informed her artistic sensibilities. She honed her craft at NIFT, Delhi, where she both studied and taught.
The brand’s perspective is further informed by Shikha’s journey—growing up in New Delhi, leading the creative teams at an eminent fashion house, and now balancing life between India and the Netherlands.
Together, they are known for their dreamy, whimsical, art-forward aesthetic—often described as wearable art.
